Aclara

The renovation of this 111,000 Sq. Ft. facility was completed in 2009 and includes 21 foot clear height, 1200 amp power service and rail availability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Aclara RF Systems, Inc. had entered the Cleveland market through acquisition and needed to merge two operations into one facility.
  • Premier Development was given the task of finding a home for Aclara with highway accessibility and growth potential.

OBJECTIVES / CHALLENGES:

  • With Aclara’s recent merger, they needed to streamline operations into one facility in short order.
  • Premier was put to task to convert a vacant 18 year old building into a modernized, unique office space for over 260 employees while overhauling 40,000 square feet of warehouse and electrical service.

RESULTS:

  • Aclara settled on a building in Solon that required interior and exterior and exterior renovations, including an additional 125 car parking lot and warehouse to office conversion.
  • Aclara signed a lease in February of 2009 and the Premier team was able to design / construct and renovate for Aclara with an occupancy of May 1st, while also receiving the NAIOP Interior Remodel of the Year Award.
