Completed in 2024, MP Biomedicals’ new 70,000 square foot facility will hold both office and warehouse space, supporting them as they continue to grow.

REQUIREMENTS:
• MP Biomedicals needed to expand their manufacturing capacity and partnered with Premier to search for a second building. After viewing their current facility, Premier realized that they could build a second facility on the land next to the existing facility despite steep elevation changes and dropoffs. Premier outlined the costs and implications of both building and owning on their own property versus leasing a second location, guiding MP Biomedicals through the advantages and considerations of each option.
OBJECTIVES / CHALLENGES:
• With a priority on minimizing interruptions to day-to-day operations at MP Biomedicals’ existing facility, a temporary construction entrance and two temporary roads were added. However, the drastic elevation changes around the site created site constraints and led to minimal on-site storage.
RESULTS:
• The project superintendent worked closely with subcontractors to order needed materials in close alignment with the project schedule and coordinated delivery to minimize impact to MP Biomedicals.
• MP Biomedicals’ new facility is a beautiful office/warehouse building with a glass front entrance that opens to a lobby atrium with a monumental stairwell leading to the second-floor office space. The warehouse area has stunning new sealed concrete floors and open space that can be used for a variety of industrial purposes.
