Assurance Health Systems Geriatric Hospital Center

Due to the high demand for acute geriatric-psychiatry care services for the growing baby boomer population in the United States and the demand far exceeding supply, Premier Development Partners has embarked on the development of five new Assurance Health Systems (AHS) Geriatric Hospital Centers. One of these five initial new developments is located in the Hudson Crossing Business Park, which includes 23-beds and 13,000 square feet within the one-story masonry block and brick structure. With the addition of this facility, AHS will be well positioned to lead the market demand of the growing 65+ years demographic.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Due to the high demand for acute geriatric-psychiatry care services for the growing baby boomer population in the United States far exceeding supply, Premier Development Partners has embarked on the development of five new Assurance Health Systems (AHS) Geriatric Hospital Centers.

OBJECTIVES / CHALLENGES:

  • With these initial five development projects underway and each new facility with locations in targeted employment areas, AHS hopes they can expand across the country with additional opportunities overseas as well.

RESULTS:

  • Designed by Davison Smith Certo Architects, this Hudson Crossing facility opened in December 2017, which includes 23-beds and 13,000 square feet within the one story structure. At present, there are no competitors that exclusively serve the behavioural health needs of geriatric-psychiatric patients. With the addition of this facility, AHS will be well positioned to lead the market demand of the growing 65+ years demographic.
