REQUIREMENTS:
The intent and eventual deliverable was to create a landscape plan in with LEED certification in mind through the utilization of sustainable and environmentally sound practices at every stage of development.
This development was to extend the Lakeland Community College campus across State Route 306 and enhance the architectural and aesthetic landscape near the SR 306/I-90 corridor.
OBJECTIVES / CHALLENGES:
The most challenging aspect of the project was the accelerated time frame needed to meet the occupancy deadlines of the college. We completed the turn-key construction through accomplishing strong management, extended hours, terrific subcontractors, and teamwork with Lakeland.
RESULTS:
Premier Development Partners was able to complete the construction of a 2 story, 40,000 square foot university center in only five months. We were able to encourage collaboration through the use of huddle rooms, conference rooms, touchdown stations and audio visual connectivity. Also added were state of the art labs for the Lakeland Nursing program, smart boards, and the off-site professor interaction suites in the classrooms.
